“Yesterday, the enemy carried out 57 airstrikes, dropped 113 guided air bombs. In addition, it carried out 4,518 attacks, including 86 from rocket salvo systems, and engaged 4,679 kamikaze drones for destruction… Over the past day, the aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Defense Forces hit six areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment and three enemy artillery systems,” the morning summary says.
Almost a third of the battles were recorded in the Pokrovsky direction in the Donetsk region.
“In the Pokrovsky direction, our defenders stopped 45 assault actions of the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Shakhove, Nove Shakhove, Chervyn Lyman, Rodynske, Novoeconomichne, Lysivka, Novopavlivka, Pokrovsk, Myrolyubivka, Myrnograd, Zvirove, Kotlyna, Udachne, Molodetske, Dachne, Filia,” the message states.
Battles also continued in North-Slobozhansk and Kursk, South-Slobozhansk, and Kupyansk. Lymansky, Slovyansky, Kramatorsk, Kostyantynivskyi, Oleksandrivskyi, Gulyaipilskyi, Orihivskyi and Prydniprovskyi directions.
During the assaults in the Pokrovsky direction, Russia repeats the scenario of the occupation of Avdiyivka, razing the city to the ground, Serhiy Okishev, an officer of the communications department of the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, told Radio Svoboda on October 28.
On October 26, the penetration of Russian troops into Pokrovsk was confirmed by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
