Almost half of all the fighting on the front took place in the Pokrovsky direction – the General Staff of the Armed Forces

Since the beginning of the day, the total number of combat clashes at the front is 64, the Ukrainian General Staff reported in the summary on March 19.

“In the Pokrovsky direction, since the beginning of the day, Russian invaders have made 29 attempts to squeeze our soldiers from the positions in the areas of settlements Tarasivka, Elizavetivka, Promin, Lisivka, Novoukrainka, Zivrov, Lucky, Uspenivka, Preobrazhenko, Andriyivka, Andriyivka. Defense forces restrain the pressure and reflect 24 attacks, five are still ongoing, ”the message reads.

According to the headquarters, in the Toretsky direction of the Russian Federation try to wedding to defense the Armed Forces in the areas of Toretsk, Crimean and Diliyivka. Six storms are reflected, three more attacks continue.

“Operation in Kursk region is ongoing. Ukrainian soldiers have reflected nine hostile attacks today, four fighting is still going on. Also, the invaders in this direction were struck by seven air strikes, dropping eight cabin, ”the military says.

The Russian army also attacked Kharkiv, Kupyansk, Lyman, Kramatorsk, Novopavlovsky, Gulyaypil and Orikhiv directions.

The Pokrovsky direction in the Donetsk region remains one of the hottest areas of the front. Over the last year, the largest number of combat clashes is recorded there.

On March 14, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the operation of the Ukrainian military in the Kurshchyna in Russia fulfilled its task: to delay Russian forces from other areas, including from the Pokrovsk Donetsk region, from Kharkiv direction and from Sumy.
