Almost 40% of Ukrainians spend 4-6 hours a day with a smartphone

The Rakuten Viber team conducted a new survey among the users of the messenger, which asked them about using a smartphone. 38% note that daily 4-6 hours are wrapped on chats, calls and other activity.

To the question “How much time a day do you spend in your phone (chats, calls and other activity?” The answers were distributed as follows:

  • 4-6 hours. All life – in the phone – 38%;
  • 2-4 hours-31%;
  • Up to 2 hours. Employed/-a other cases-31%.

At the same time, the Viber team found out why the messenger users prefer call or message. According to the survey – most prefer calls:

  • I like to call more, but sometimes forced to write-52%;
  • I love chat more, but sometimes forced to call-27%;
  • I call – my choice is unambiguous – 11%;
  • Everything can be solved in the text – calls are inconvenient – 10%.

These results were due to an anonymous online survey, which was attended by about 36,000 people. The key age group is 34-45 years, more than 50% of respondents under 45.
