On October 2, standing next to French President Emmanuel Macron and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Albania’s Prime Minister Edie Rama jokingly demanded an apology from Macron, as he did not congratulate politicians on resolving the “conflict between Albania and Azerbaijan.”
“You have to apologize, both of us,” Rama said, addressing Macron. “Because you did not congratulate us on the peace agreement that President Trump has concluded between Albania and Azerbaijan,” Rama said, causing laughter with his interlocutors.
“I’m sorry because of this,” Macron jokingly played in response and patted the frame on the cheek.
Note that Trump confused not only Albania with Armenia, but also mistakenly said that he stopped the war between “Cambodge and Azerbaijan“. Last week, the ministers of these countries that have no special relations met in the UN GA hall and published photos of hands on their social networks.
