Albania Prime Minister Edie Rama said the country can use artificial intelligence to combat corruption, increase transparency and even manage entire ministries, Politico writes.

During the July Press Conference, he suggested that one day in Albania may appear in a ministry, which will work completely under the management of the AI, without neoplasticism and conflicts of interest. Rama also expressed the idea that local developers could create a model of AI, “chosen” by the Minister, and in the future the country could have the government and premiere formed completely from artificial intelligence.

Although no official steps have been taken in this direction, Rama has called for a serious considering this opportunity.

The former ruling party politician and writer Ben Blush supported the idea, saying that Shi-Goors are quite possible and can radically change the idea of democracy. In his opinion, if public services can effectively provide artificial intelligence, it makes no sense to choose from human candidates. Blushi stressed that AI did not make mistakes, does not need salary, it cannot be bribed and it works continuously.

Albania has long been fighting large -scale corruption, which covers all spheres of life, including politics. The ruling party has repeatedly become a person involved in corruption, and many officials were accused and convicted. Currently, the opposition leader Sally Berish is in court on corruption, and the former Prime Minister and President Illyr Aim is served in prison.

According to the frame, the introduction of AI in management can be not only a technological breakthrough, but also an important step on Albania’s way to EU accession.
