The “Come back Alive” Charitable Foundation together with “Office 61” and with the support of “Ukrnafta” developed, purchased and handed over the first mobile complexes for servicing the F-16 aircraft to the Armed Forces. This was reported by the Fund’s press service.

It is about two technical habes for aircraft and aviation weapons and one set of missions planning. They cost almost UAH 51.4 million.

The Fund explained that the F-16 is one of the most complex combat vehicles of today. In the world, stationary complexes are mostly used to check aircraft and equip them with ammunition. However, the Ukrainian airfields are fired by the enemy, so keeping the planes becoming more difficult.

“Mobile complexes will solve this problem, as well as make it possible to travel to aircraft that have made a forced maneuver or emergency landing, will accelerate the service process and allow less people to attract it,” the fund explained.

What complexes are:

· The mission planning complex is a management point for pre -flight briefing and support of aircraft in the near area. It includes a module with workplaces for five to seven operators, as well as a residential module with everything you need for quality rest of the military, including a shower, kitchen area and a place to sleep.

· The service complex contains a workshop for the preparation and check of aviation weapons, two vans for transportation and suspension of ammunition to the aircraft and one pickup for the movement of the team, daily activities, logistics of property and so on.

The fund says that the work of mobile complexes will make security measures more effective and simplify the aircraft service.

“This complex is the realization of the most necessary needs of Air Force specialists. Taking into account the best practices of European countries concerning the operation of aviation weapons, in particular the weapons of F-16 aircraft. The need for such a complex has arisen through a branched aircraft base system and a lack of specialists.

By the way, in June it became known that Norway has planned to provide our country with fourteen F-16 aircraft. Meanwhile, only six fighter jets have been officially reported. The terms of supply of non-rented F-16 were not announced.
