At the CES 2025 exhibition in Las Vegas, LG and Samsung announced new smart TVs with support for artificial intelligence from Microsoft.
LG is adding a whole section of artificial intelligence to its TVs and renaming the remote control to “AI Remote”. While it’s unclear exactly how Copilot will work on LG TVs, the company describes it as a tool to “efficiently locate and organize complex information using context clues.”
LG hasn’t shown off its Copilot integration yet, but it did show off its own AI chatbot for TVs. It looks like Copilot will come in handy when LG TV users want to search for more information on a certain topic.

Samsung is also launching its own Vision AI brand for its AI-powered TV features, which include automatic HDR remastering and adaptive sound Pro. There’s also a new AI button on the remote to access features like on-screen food recognition or home security features that analyze video from smart cameras. Microsoft’s Copilot will be part of this section of Vision AI.
“This partnership will allow users to explore a wide range of Copilot services, including personalized content recommendations,” notes Samsung.
