Against four companies for the investigation of Schemes on the supply of parts and special equipment, the defense of the Russian Federation introduced sanctions

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has put into effect a sanction of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) against 58 citizens of the Russian Federation and 74 companies from Russia, Iran, Uzbekistan, China and Belarus. Among the enterprises for which there were restrictions – four firms, which are relevant to the supply of products to Russian defense enterprises, which were featured in the investigation of “Schemes” (Radio Liberty) and partners.

These are, in particular, two Belarusian companies, Izovak and Izatek-M, from the IZOVAC holding holding, whose clients were previously Apple, Tesla and other “giants” of world electronics. And also – Russian “Inginering Group” and Chinese Smart Kit Technology Limited. The latter, as intermediaries, were included in the supply chain of IZOVAC products (and other manufacturers) to defense enterprises of the Russian Federation, for example, from Rostekh corporation.

At the end of April, “Schemes” (Radio Svoboda), Belarusian Investigative Center, Washington Center for Promising Defense Research (C4ads), Lithuanian Media 15min.LT and Russian Independent edition of IDRIES, with the support of the Khaczer partparty group, were told in joint investigation.

Journalists found that from the beginning of a full -scale war in February 2022 and at least until July 2024, these companies have put in Russia components and equipment for producing optics for $ 200 million.

NSDC sanctions include, in particular, the blocking of assets and the ban on trade operations and the transit of resources, flights and transportation by the territory of Ukraine for at least 10 years. The sanctions of Ukraine and the United States are currently in force against Russian and Chinese firms, and only Ukraine is against Belarusian.

In the investigation, journalists said that according to the customs and tax bases of Russia, at least 30 companies of the Russian military-industrial complex, in particular Rostech, were clients of the Belarusian holding IZOVAS and one of its subsidiaries from 2022 to 2024. These are predominantly manufacturers of fragmentation shells, fire control systems for tanks and aircraft, intelligence complexes, drones and combat avionics. For example, from the aforementioned Belarusian companies, the manufacturer of military optical sights – bought lenses; manufacturer of self -alignment of winged missiles – light filters; Manufacturer of long -range rifles – glass elements and vacuum equipment.

Even double -purpose products of American descent, as journalists have installed, got into the sub -Russian companies. In particular, through Belarusian Izatek-M. To supply such goods to the Russian Federation prohibit US export control rules.

The Russian firm OOO “Inginering Group”, headed by a former IZOVAC holder employee, also made a mediator. Through it from Belarus and China, the US equipment for the production of deficient chips in Russia came to the defense sector.

Chinese Smart Kit Technology Limited was also used as a mediator for the Russian defense sector.

Journalists found that in December 2023 Smart Kit Technology sold the Belarusian company “Izatek-M” machine for the production of semiconductors Amat Centura Supere, which resold the Russian firm NM-Tech. The latter has been registered in Moscow and has been under US and EU sanctions since 2022. The NM-Tech is engaged in the production of weapons and ammunition.
