Against drones and rockets. India successfully tested its own laser weapon

Testing conducted by the Indian Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO), took place at a national open landfill in Andhra Pradesh.

During it, the laser beam destroyed hostile targets with high accuracy and speed, which confirmed the efficiency of new weapons in real conditions.

A system developed by the Center for High -Energy Systems and Sciences (Chess) in cooperation with other institutions, equipped with a built -in electro -optical system capable of identifying goals on its own.

After identification, the threat is affected by a powerful laser beam, which is not only able to destroy the structure of a drone or rocket, but also to cause detonation of their warrior. The video shows how the drone was completely destroyed in flight.

The laser system is mounted on a vehicle and in the future can be adapted for installation on warships. Despite the fact that DRDO has not revealed the maximum range, successful use in the field confirms its high combat potential.

Against the background of successes in the US, Ukraine, Great Britain and China in the field of development of similar technologies, India also confidently demonstrates its achievements in this critically important field of defense.
