After warming, there will be a new wave of cold, but “the scale will be smaller” – forecasters

The peak of the current cold wave in Ukraine has already passed, and during the next few days, starting from February 5, the daytime temperature will approach zero degrees even in the north, Ukrainian and Western forecasters inform.

“From February 5, the Atlantic and southern currents will begin to press harder, will provide an anticyclone with clouds, the air temperature in Ukraine will rise, precipitation will increase, the wind will increase,” – writes forecaster Natalka Didenko.

But already at the beginning of next week, a new cold wave will arrive in Ukraine, which will be shorter than the previous one and not as powerful.

“From February 9, a new wave of cold will visit Ukraine again. The air temperature will drop, but it seems that the frosty Hoverla is still behind, the scale of the cold will be somewhat smaller. The cooling will last, approximately, until February 12. Then warming again!” Didenko added.

The American weather site wunderground.com reports the same trends. According to his data, the warmest in Kyiv this week will be Saturday, February 7, when it will warm up to minus three during the day, and on Sunday night it will be at least minus five degrees Celsius.

On the night of February 9-10, the temperature may drop to minus 18 degrees, while on the afternoon of February 9 and 10 it will be minus nine degrees. Already on February 12, according to this forecast, the temperature will return to a comfortable level of four to eight degrees of frost.
