As the UP knows, the reason for the dismissal lies in the false reports of the command of both brigades – they reported the presence of positions in their areas of responsibility, which in fact had not been staffed for a long time. The lie came out during the rapid loss of the entire city, the Russians announced the capture of Siversk on December 12.
The 11th Army Corps, under the operational control of which the 54th and 10th were, according to the UP, trusted the brigades and was sure that their reports were true. Inspectors from the corps regularly went to the units, but they did not find any problems or inconsistency of the reports with the real situation on the battlefield, because, as interlocutors assure the UP, it was constantly hidden.
The “East” troop group removed the 11th corps and its commander, Brigadier General Serhii Sirchenko from managing the situation in Siversk. In this direction, a tactical group “Soledar” was formed, which was headed by the former brigade commander of the 54th, and now the commander of the training center “Desna”, Brigadier General Denys Maistrenko. UP interlocutors who worked with Maistrenko give positive feedback about him.
Inspection commissions came to the 54th and 10th brigades.
The commander of the “Skhid” military base, Brigadier General Dmytro Bratishko, also took charge of the “Soledar” TRG.
As UP knows, Bratishko was enraged when he learned about the loss of Siversk, and demanded that the Ukrainian flag be raised over the partially lost city in almost any way. Then the flag was delivered to the NRK, which is currently in short supply, to the UAV operators of the 54th brigade, and they carried it on drones to the building of the railway station in Siversk. All for the sake of making a “flagship” and pleasing the commander of the “Shid” submarine (see illustration of the news – ed.).
According to UP, the Russians captured Siversk, taking advantage of the thick fog that were in Donetsk region in November and December 2025. From about the 20th of November, the 54th brigade began to lose its ability to destroy the Russians in the number in which they entered the city. For example, out of 15 invaders, 10 could be destroyed, the other 5 imperceptibly seeped deep into the city and were entrenched.
