“Four people found themselves under the rubble of a house as a result of an enemy attack on Stepnohirsk. The Russians struck at least five times on the front-line settlement. One of the blows hit the village council building. The other is in a residential building. Two people were rescued, two more remain under the rubble. The search and rescue operation is ongoing,” the head of the region said.

Later, around 21:00, Ivan Fedorov informed that the bodies of two people were found at the place of impact.

“Two dead – search and rescue operation completed in Stepnohirsk. One man and one woman were rescued. They are in the hospital now. “Unfortunately, two women died – their bodies were just pulled out from under the rubble,” the official said.

The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.

The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.

Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes committed by the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are targeted.

On the evening of January 8, the Russian army launched two anti-aircraft missile strikes on Zaporizhzhia, the local authorities reported. According to preliminary data, 13 people died, 32 were injured. In total, more than 80 people turned to city hospitals for help. The industrial and other infrastructure of the city was destroyed. Zaporozhye was struck at a time when people were returning home from work, in particular by public transport – minibus taxis and trams, which were moving with passengers along the street near the place of the strike, were damaged by debris.
