Details: According to Didenko, there are less than 400,000 Ukrainians in the consular account, while the real number of voters abroad can reach 5-6 million. Therefore, the CEC proposes to introduce a mechanism of “active registration”, which will allow citizens to report in advance of their intention to vote abroad.

Direct Language: “Different options were considered, starting with electronic vote, postal vote, which we, as a CEC, are not supported, especially for post -war elections. But all agreed on such an option as creating additional polling stations outside embassies and consulates.

That is, the idea is that our citizens can apply, physically at the embassy or online, for some time before the election process, and they want to vote there and there.

And already on the basis of these statements and their additional information about the concentration of Ukrainians, our dipstrophops will be able to offer the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and us to form additional polling stations. ”

Details: The implementation of this idea requires changes to the legislation, since the law provides for the ability to form polling stations only in the territory of embassies and consulates.

“Our position is to legislate this opportunity, and then start these mechanisms. This will, first, bring the polling stations closer to people, and secondly, will expand them the opportunity to vote.

Because the capacity of the site is 4-5 thousand voters, it is in a very intense mode of operation. And this is not enough. For example, in Poland, it seems that 960 thousand Ukrainians and only 5 diplomatic institutions, ”Didenko explained.
