A little less than 3,000 high-rise buildings remain without heat supply in Kyiv this morning, Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko said.
On the evening of January 21, there were 3,260 of them.

According to the mayor, heat was connected to 227 houses last night.

As previously reported by the authorities, on the night of January 22, heating medium was supplied to houses that were left without heating due to shelling and damage to the infrastructure twice – on January 9 and 20. The KMDA said that it would take approximately two days for the heat to reach the homes of Kyiv residents.

Emergency power outages continue to operate in Kyiv. The day before, the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Energy of Ukraine Denys Shmygal announced the development of technical solutions for Kyiv, which will allow moving to “hard, but predictable schedules”.

The DTEK company reported that power supply to all critical infrastructure facilities in Kyiv was restored after the Russian attack on January 20, but the situation with power supply in the city remains difficult – about 44,000 homes remain without electricity.

After the last massive attacks by the Russian Federation, the energy system of Ukraine is under a state of emergency, the most difficult situation, according to the President of Ukraine, is in Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast, Kharkiv Oblast, Sumy Oblast, Chernihiv Oblast, and Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.

On January 20, Kyiv suffered another attack by the Russian Federation, 5,635 high-rise buildings were left without heat, almost 80 percent of them are houses to which heat supply was restored after the shelling on January 9.

According to the mayor of the city Vitaliy Klitschko, the Russian attack on January 9 was the most painful for the city’s critical infrastructure. He emphasized that the situation is the most difficult in four years. Emergency blackouts have been ongoing in the city since then.
