A TT pistol hidden in a book was discovered at the border

At a checkpoint in the Odesa region, a Ukrainian was found in a car with a TT pistol with 8 bullets, hidden in a specially cut cavity inside a book, the State Customs Service reported on Tuesday, writes UNN.

“The TT pistol with 8 rounds was found at the Orlivka checkpoint during a customs inspection of a vehicle driven by a citizen of Ukraine who was on his way to Turkey. He hid the weapon inside the manual for the repair and operation of the car in a cavity cut out in its pages according to the shape, similar to the contours of this gun,” the customs officials said.

The book, with a specially equipped hiding place, was reportedly in a car toolbox among bags of personal belongings.

An attempt to export the pistol without the appropriate permit and declaration ended with its temporary seizure under the protocol of violation of customs rules on the grounds of ch. 1 Art. 483 of Moscow State University.
