A source in the SBU clarified the consequences of the strike on Novorossiysk: four S-400 launchers and two radars were destroyed

Drones of the Alpha Special Operations Center of the Security Service of Ukraine destroyed four launchers of the S-400 “Triumph” complex and two radars in Novorossiysk, a source in the Ukrainian special service explained to Radio Liberty the consequences of the November 13 attack.

“Satellite images confirm that the Security Service successfully destroyed four launchers of the S-400 “Triumph” anti-aircraft missile system. They were located on the territory of the military unit of the Kuban Red Banner Regiment. Also, the enemy missed two important radars – early detection 96H6 (Cheese Board) and targeting radar 92H6 (Grave Stone),” the source informs.

In total, approximately 12 launchers of the S-400 “Triumph” air defense system were located on the territory of the military unit. There is a good chance that they were also damaged by the attack.

“The SBU continues methodical work to destroy the enemy’s air defense systems, which protect the enemy’s important military, infrastructural and logistical facilities. Each such destroyed system is a hole in the defense, which Ukrainian drones and missiles will definitely take advantage of,” said an informed source, adding that the operation was carried out by the Security Service of Ukraine with the support of the Security and Defense Forces (GUR MOU, SSO of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, State Border Guard Service).

Ukraine has stepped up drone attacks deep inside Russia, seeking to knock out oil refineries and pipelines and cripple Moscow’s biggest source of funding for the war in Ukraine.

In Moscow, for its part, at the official level, it was previously recognized that the Ukrainian strikes harm the economy. The Russian Foreign Ministry said in September that it views attacks on oil facilities as “deliberate sabotage of its economic infrastructure by Ukraine and its foreign patrons.”

Most of the attacks were confirmed by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stating that the Defense Forces of Ukraine “systematically implement measures aimed at reducing the combat potential of the Russian occupation forces, as well as at forcing the Russian Federation to stop armed aggression against Ukraine.”
