“Preliminarily, five people were injured, among them a minor child. One person is in serious condition. All victims were promptly evacuated from the scene. The minibus, which was moving in the direction of Sumy, burned to the ground. Regular transport was not supposed to move on this section of the track – other routes were defined for transportation. We are investigating all the circumstances of the event,” the head of the region wrote.
According to the prosecutor’s office, the attack took place around 4:50 p.m. The vehicle was carrying five passengers and the driver.
Under the procedural leadership of the Sumy District Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation into the commission of war crimes is being conducted (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.
The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.
The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes of the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful in nature.
