In the Kharkiv region, a woman was injured due to explosives, reports the Regional Directorate of the State Emergency Service on May 20.

It is reported, this happened in the village of Lukashove Chuguev district:

“Moving the soil path, a 62-year-old local resident came to an unknown explosive object, probably a mine of PFM-1 of the Petal.

The woman suffered a mine-explosive trauma of the foot, she was hospitalized.

The service indicates that the anti -personnel fugas mine of the “petal”, designed to defeat the lower part of the leg, can be green or olive, which is very difficult to detect it. It is enough to put a load from a few kilograms to bring it into action.

The SES repeats the call for citizens to comply with mine safety measures. In particular, not to visit cemeteries, forests, forest strips, fields, rivers and other open expanses, “especially those where the fights were underway or which were under hostile occupation.”

“These territories are heavily contaminated with explosive objects, non -ruptured ammunition, anti -personnel and anti -tank mines,” the agency states.

In early April, the State Emergency Service reported that since February 2022, 336 people were killed in Ukraine, 18 children were killed in Ukraine. 825 people were injured, 92 of them. According to rescuers, about 139 thousand square kilometers (23% of Ukraine’s total area) are potentially dangerous.

In February, the Ministry of Economy reported that Ukraine’s needs for the exposure of the war were $ 29.8 billion.
