In the capital of Russia, Moscow, the Second Western District Military Court sentenced a resident of Belgorod to 16 years of imprisonment in a high-security prison, four of which he will spend in prison for donating 600,000 rubles (that’s about 340,000 hryvnias) to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Telegram channel “Pepel. Belgorod”.

As the publication writes, according to the version of the investigation, the 44-year-old from Belgorod transferred more than 600,000 rubles “for the needs of the Armed Forces” from January 2023 to October 2024. At the same time, it is not known whether he transferred money directly to Ukrainian units or organizations that procured aid for the Armed Forces.

FSB officers detained the man in October 2024, after which a criminal case was opened against him under the articles of treason and terrorist financing.

It also became known on January 29 that the Central District Military Court in Yekaterinburg sentenced 44-year-old Ukrainian citizen Ivan Kravchuk to 14 years in prison on charges of hooliganism and participation in a “terrorist” organization. The investigation recognized the correspondence with the “Russian Volunteer Corps” (RDK), in which, in particular, Russians who oppose the Kremlin’s policies are fighting on the side of Ukraine. Kravchuk himself said that in June he contacted RDK to go to his hometown Lviv, where his sick father lives. According to him, he wanted to surrender to the police, but he was detained.
