An Azerbaijan Airlines plane flying from Baku to Grozny crashed in Kazakhstan with almost 70 passengers on board, several people survived and are in serious condition.

Details: A passenger plane crashed near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan. The plane was flying from Baku to Grozny (Chechnya).
News agencies report that the Azerbaijan Airlines plane signaled an emergency while it was over the Caspian Sea.
The Ministry of Emergencies of Kazakhstan reported that 52 personnel and 11 units of equipment of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan arrived in Aktau at the scene of the plane crash: “Upon arrival, the aircraft was found to be on fire.”

Information about the victims is being clarified, according to preliminary data, there are survivors. Dozens of people were on board.
The Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan reported on conducting a special investigation into the accident: “The circumstances of the event are being clarified. A special investigation will be conducted.”

“KazAeroNavigatsiya” company believes that the accident occurred in connection with a collision with a bird and violation of steering control.
Russian media reports that there were 67 passengers and 5 crew members on board the plane.
Also, the Russian public does not rule out that the plane could have changed its course due to the threat of a drone attack on Chechnya. According to preliminary data, Grozny was attacked by several UAVs, as a result of which the “Carpet” plan was announced at the city’s airport.
Previously, citizens of Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Russia, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan were on board the plane.
