Details: Another winter storm affected tens of millions of Americans this weekend, with heavy snow and severe weather already killing more than 100 people since last week, according to official sources.

The storm quickly gained strength on Saturday, January 31, near the Carolina coast in the Atlantic Ocean. Increasing wind and intense precipitation quickly turned into a strong blizzard.
The first snowfalls were recorded the day before in eastern Tennessee, both Carolinas and southern Virginia. Up to 8 cm of snow fell in northeastern Tennessee.
As of Saturday, January 31, more than two thousand flights were canceled in the USA.
According to the forecast, the thickness of snow could reach 15 centimeters across the Carolinas, into western Tennessee and southeastern Virginia.
Cities such as Atlanta, Knoxville, Norfolk and Virginia Beach are also under winter storm warnings.
Forecasters are predicting that the snowfall will taper off a bit on Sunday, February 1, but the frost in the eastern United States is likely to persist throughout next week.
