Details: According to the investigation, a 25-year-old man from Kyiv poured flammable liquid on the door of the post office building and set it on fire. For what he committed, he faces up to 10 years in prison.

The law enforcement officers established that the day before, a friend of the detainee met the girl on the Internet and was going on a date with her. Soon he got a call from an alleged SBU employee and informed him that his new acquaintance works for the aggressor country and that he is now in trouble for communicating with her.
The pseudo-law enforcement officer informed the man that he could avoid criminal liability if he set fire to the post office where her accomplice allegedly works. The man agreed and asked his 25-year-old friend to help him. Upon arrival, the latter poured a flammable mixture over the entrance door of the post office and set it on fire.

As the prosecutor’s office told “Ukrainian Pravda”, the court chose a preventive measure for the suspect in the form of night house arrest, the prosecutors disagree with this decision and are appealing it.
