According to the Federal Civil Aviation Administration, it is a helicopter model MD 369FF with four people on board. The aircraft took off from the Pegasus Air Park, located in the city of Queen Creek.

Currently, the number of dead and injured is unknown due to the difficult accessibility of the area where the accident occurred.

A temporary flight restriction was introduced over the disaster zone to ensure the safety of search and rescue operations.
