A fire broke out in Poland on Wednesday at the National Center for Nuclear Research, located in the city of Otwock near Warsaw.

As Rmf24 reports, a gas explosion occurred in the premises that was rented out to a third-party company, as a result of which two people were injured, Ukrinform reports.

It is noted that there is no radiation threat as a result of the fire at the nuclear center, since the fire broke out at a considerable distance from the MARIA research rector.

Firefighters have already brought the fire under control, 40 people are involved in extinguishing it.
