“Around four o’clock in the morning, the Lukoil oil refinery caught fire in the Red Army district of Volgograd. Local residents wrote on social networks that they heard an explosion,” writes ASTRA.

The operational services of the city confirmed the fact of the fire at the refinery, writes the local portal v1.ru, clarifying that it was caused by internal causes, and not by external influences.

“Installation No. 18 and two heat exchangers caught fire at the plant,” experts commented. “For now, everything has been extinguished, there are no casualties or injuries as a result of the incident, the exact causes of the fire are being established, but it is already known that the fire occurred as a result of an outside situation, not in any way related to with any external influence,” the portal claims with reference to operational services.
