A 54-year-old woman was killed in Nikopol on January 15 due to Russian shelling, Serhiy Lysak, head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration, said.

“Rescuers retrieved her body from under the rubble of the house. The enemy crushed it by shelling the city with anti-aircraft guns. A 45-year-old man was injured in an enemy attack. He was given medical assistance. He will be treated on an outpatient basis,” Lysak wrote in a telegram.

According to him, due to the Russian shelling in the city, there is destruction of housing: private and high-rise buildings, garages and cars were damaged, gas stoves and power lines were “hit” and there were two fires that “rescuers put out”.

Earlier today, the head of the OVA announced that a 41-year-old man was injured due to shelling in Nikopol region, and he will be treated on an outpatient basis.

The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.

The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.

The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes by the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful in nature.
