Maria Zaitseva, a 24-year-old volunteer from Belarus, died in Ukraine, the Belarusian service of Radio Liberty reports.
Maria Zaitseva participated in the 2020 protests and was injured by a stun grenade in Minsk near the stele on August 9. After that, she underwent several operations in Belarus, and then went to the Czech Republic for treatment.
After the start of the full-scale war, the Russian Federation joined the ranks of defenders of Ukraine.
On January 16, the day before her death, Maria Zaitseva turned 24 years old.
