Law enforcement officers established that a 2-year-old boy fell on the stairs and hit his head while at the preschool yesterday evening.

The child received a craniocerebral injury, a contusion of the brain and a fracture of the parietal bone.

The boy was hospitalized.

The institution is currently under investigation. The law enforcement officers have started an investigation into the fact that the employees of the preschool institution improperly performed their duties regarding the protection of children’s lives and health, which caused serious consequences (Part 2 of Article 137 of the Criminal Code).

The sanction of the article provides up to 5 years of imprisonment.
