7,000 civilians remain in Pokrovsk – Deputy Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

“The community is in a rather difficult situation, the residents of our community are in a rather difficult situation, they need the help of the military administration””, — write: www.radiosvoboda.org

Seven thousand civilians remain in Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, said the deputy head of the city’s military administration, Oleksiy Stebel.

“We understand that the community is in a rather difficult situation, the residents of our community are in a rather difficult situation and need the help of the military administration. That is why we continue to provide and, as we said, we will continue to provide help to all people who need it, who, unfortunately, have not yet left our community,” said Stebel in a video released by the press service of the Pokrovskaya MBA on the Telegram channel.

According to him, the administration continues to provide assistance to the residents who remained in the city when the security situation allows, in particular, it provides communal services and provides building materials.

The DeepState Project and the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) report that in the first days of 2025, the Russian army is actively capturing new territories to the south, southeast and east of Pokrovsk.

According to DeepState data, the aggressor is not going to storm the city head-on – but will focus on the roads leading to Pokrovsk.

ISW put forward the same hypothesis. According to the Institute’s analysts, the Russian Federation has concentrated its efforts on attempts to surround Pokrovsk – and this is why it is advancing in the Vozdvizhenka area 20 kilometers east of the city.
