“The Russian invaders carried out one missile attack, using two missiles, 32 air strikes, dropping 67 guided bombs. In addition, 2,249 kamikaze drones were brought in for destruction and 2,932 attacks were made on the positions of our troops and populated areas,” the evening summary reads.
More than half of the battles were recorded in the Pokrovsky and neighboring Oleksandrivsky directions.
“In the Pokrovsky direction, since the beginning of this day, the enemy has attacked positions 65 times in the areas of the settlements of Volodymyrivka, Shakhove, Dorozhne, Pankivka, Novoeconomichne, Molodetske, Sukhetske, Rodynske, Myrnograd, Chervyn Liman, Lysivka, Zvirove, Kotline, Udachne, Dachne, and in the direction of the settlements of Pokrovsk and Novopavlivka. Five combat clashes continue until now.
In the direction of Oleksandrivka, Ukrainian defenders repelled 22 attacks by invaders in the areas of Zaporizhzhia, Andriivka-Klevtsevoe, Oleksandrograd, Vorone, Sosnivka, Kalinivske, Novogrigorivka, Olgivske and in the direction of Orestopol, Oleksiivka, and Privilny. Two more combat clashes are ongoing,” the message stated.
Battles also continued in the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk, South-Slobozhansk, Kupyansk, Lymansk, Slovyansk, Kramatorsk, Kostiantynivsk, Orihiv and Prydniprovsk directions.
Earlier, the General Staff reported that Ukrainian forces liberated 182.8 square kilometers on the territory of the Pokrovsky district of the Donetsk region, and another 230.1 square kilometers were cleared from the enemy’s DGR.
British intelligence has reiterated that Pokrovsk is likely to remain a priority for Russia, with the largest share of Russian attacks there compared to the rest of the front line.
On October 1, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, said that the Ukrainian military had cut off the so-called “Dobropilsky Protrusion” of Russian troops.
