On October 1, Ukraine received 170 million euros for housing programs from the Council of Europe Development Bank another 170 million euros.

Details: The agreement on attracting this loan was signed in Rome during a conference on the restoration of Ukraine.

Sviridenko said that 70 million euros will go to the HOME project: compensation for destroyed housing. “This is another 1,500 housing certificates is a renewal and the opportunity for 4,000 families to buy new homes instead of destroyed. Priority has defenders and defenders, people with disabilities and large families,” she wrote.

Thanks to the project, more than 7,600 Ukrainians have already received new housing, and all housing certificates received – 24.3 thousand Ukrainian families.

EUR 300 million are aimed at supporting internally displaced persons: it is assistance for accommodation, housing, education of children, integration into the community.

“I am grateful to our European partners for this assistance. Together, we create conditions for Ukrainian families to restore their lives in Ukraine,” Sviridenko wrote.

In the spring of the Government of Ukraine and the Council of Europe Development Bank signed a loan agreement for the amount of 50 million euros to provide housing in internally displaced persons (IDPs).

It was the bank’s second loan to support the residential sector of Ukraine. The first, for a total of 100 million euros, was signed in 2024 and provided compensation for destroyed housing through residential certificates.
