According to the investigation, between May and October 2025, criminals wrote off diesel fuel and gasoline almost every 10 days. With the same regularity, they submitted applications from the military unit to receive fuel and lubricant materials to ensure the performance of combat tasks.”

photo: DBRDuring the regular unloading of “decommissioned” fuel, law enforcement officers documented the illegal activities of servicemen. During the searches, official documents were seized, 980 liters of diesel fuel and 800 liters of gasolineas well as other evidence of illegal activity.
Two military personnel were charged with theft of military property using their official position, according to a prior conspiracy by a group of people, committed under martial law (Parts 2, 3 of Article 27, Part 4 of Article 410 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The sanction of the article provides for punishment up to 15 years of imprisonment.
The court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for both suspects. The pre-trial investigation continues, law enforcement officers are establishing the full amount of stolen fuel and possible accomplices.
