A prize fund of the soil tournament WTA 1000 in Madrid (Spain), which started, is 8 055 385 euros this year.
The prize check for the winner will be just over € 985 thousand (last year – more than € 963 thousand). The amounts of the prize at the Tournament in Spain are the same for ATP and WTA participants.
The main grid of the tournament will be Ukrainian tennis players: Elina Svitolina (17th sowing number), Marta Kostyuk (24th sowing room) and Diana Yastremskaya. Yulia Starodubtseva will play in the qualification finale. Daria Snigur was defeated in the semifinals of qualifying selection.
