This was the first meeting of the rivals.
Golubych won her 12th match and 2nd trophy in a row. In early November, she became the WTA 250 champion in Jiujiang (China), after which she brought her national team two victories in the Billie Jean King Cup playoff match against Serbia.
Thanks to this victory, Victoria rose to 90th place in the updated version of the WTA ranking, while Naef improved 28 positions and now ranks 153rd.
The 125-thousandth in Limoges was the last tournament under the auspices of the WTA in 2024. The girls will start the new season at the end of December. Brisbane (Australia) and Auckland (New Zealand) will host the WTA 500 and WTA 250 series, respectively, and some tennis players will compete at the United Cup for their national teams.
