They made it to the semi-finals of the Australian Open Yannick Sinner and Novak Djokovic. The Italian defeated Ben Shelton in three sets, and luck helped the Serb.
Lorenzo Musetti won the opening two sets in Nole, and after the fourth game of the third game he was forced to withdraw due to hip problems. Djokovic has not won a single set in the last two rounds – in the last round he was supposed to meet with Jakub Menshik, who refused the match.

Sinner is defending the Aus Open trophy he won in both 2025 and 2024. In total, this will be the 12th Grand Slam semifinal for Yannik and the third in Melbourne. The Italian will fight for a place in the seventh final.
It will be Djokovic’s 54th major semifinal and 13th in Australia. Nole is a 10-time Aus Open champion. In the match with Sinner, the Serb will try to secure his 38th final.
Sinner has previously played against Djokovic 10 times and won six. At the slams, Yannik and Novak met five times – 3:2.
A day earlier at the Aus Open, the quarterfinals took place in the upper part of the grid, after which Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev reached the semifinals.
