VIDEO. Svitolina after defeating the Russian and entering the 1/4 finals of the AO

Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina (WTA 27) advanced to the quarterfinals of the Australian Open 2025, defeating the athlete without a flag Veronika Kudermetova (WTA 75) in two sets (6:4, 6:1).

After the match, Elina was asked at a press conference about her unbeaten streak against the Russians since the beginning of the war.

For Svitolina, this victory was the 8th in a row over representatives of the Russian Federation. Elina won against all tennis players from the swamp country after February 24, 2022 – the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine.
