24-year-old Canadian tennis player Bianca Andreescu (WTA 132) will not play in the WTA 250 tournament in Auckland (New Zealand) and the Australian Open 2025.

The Canadian withdrew from the competition due to personal reasons. Details are not disclosed.

Due to a back injury, Bianca started last season only at the end of May. In June, she played in the final of the WTA 250 grass competition in Hertogenbosch, where she lost to Lyudmila Samsonova.

Andreescu’s best achievement is the trophy at the US Open 2019, and the record position in the WTA ranking is the fourth step.

Simona Halep, who was injured at the exhibition tournament in Abu Dhabi, withdrew from the Australian Open earlier.
