Ukraine’s first issue won the most rating in his career

The first number of Ukrainian men’s tennis Alexander Ovcharenko (ATR 311) successfully started at Hardovo Challenger in the Indian city of Chennai.

In the 1st Round, the Ukrainian overcame eighth sown Flower Pirosh (Hungary, ATP 214) in 2 hours and 13 minutes.

It was the first meeting of rivals. Ovcharenko will fight against Alexei Zakharova for a place in the quarterfinals Ovcharenko.

Ovcharenko holds the third tour tournament in the new season. His account has 5 matches and 2 defeat.

For Alexander, victory over Pirosh became the most rating in his career. Its preliminary result was Victoria over Aziz Dugas a week earlier in the match of Tunisia and Ukraine. Then Dugas took the 227th position.

There were two more Ukrainian tennis players in Chennai: Eric Vanshelboim (APR 501) and Yuri Javakyan (APR 506). Both have been qualified. And Yuri coped with Rashab Agarwal (India, ATP 1068) [6:4, 6:3] and Chirag Duhan (India, ATP 964) [4:6, 6:1, 7:6].

Unfortunately, with the drawing of Varshelboy and Javaakyan was not lucky. Already in the 1/16 finals, they played against two sowing leaders – Billy Harris (United Kingdom, ATP 129) and Lloyd Harris (South Africa, ATP 144), respectively. Eric lost to the British with a score of 5: 7, 2: 6, and Yuri gave way to the South African 3: 6, 7: 5, 0: 6.
