The US Open Complex will be reconstructed for $ 800 million

US Tennis Federation (Usta) announced that in the coming years a large -scale reconstruction of the complex where the US Open. Arthur Ash’s stadium will be upgraded, as well as a new training center for tennis players will appear in the Quins. The total cost of the project is $ 800 million.

The project is planned to be completed before the Open US Championships in 2027. However, construction work will not affect the tournaments in 2025 and 2026.

“This project will allow us to support and update the main arena of tennis – Arthur Ash Stadium, built more than 25 years ago, and prepare it for the next 25 years of operation,” – said Usta CEO and Executive Director Lu Sherr in the official preselization.

The training center will include gyms, enlarged covered and open warm -up areas, improved diet for players and updated changing rooms. The cost of building a training center will be $ 250 million.

As for the innovations at Arthur Ash Stadium itself, a new main entrance will be created for the players, 2,000 additional places will appear at the cord level, and halls, restaurants and shops in the stadium will be completely updated. The project financing will be fully provided at the expense of USTA’s own expense – “without attracting public funds or taxpayers”.
