The starting match of Svitolina in Bad-Homburg was interrupted. Not because of the rain

June 22 Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina (WTA 14) started at the WTA 500 grass tournament in Bad-Homburg, Germany.

The Ukrainian went to the central court at 19:00 for Kiev against Belgian Eliza Mertens (WTA 24).

Svitolina won the first set with a score of 7: 5 and in the second led 40:30 in the first game on her submission. At this point, the meeting was interrupted – one of the fans in the stands became ill. The match is expected to recover in the near future.
