Ukrainian tennis player Darya Snigur (WTA 139) has reached the main draw of the 2025 Australian Open!

In the final of the qualification, the Ukrainian lost in two sets Rebekah Masarov (Switzerland, WTA 144) in 1 hour and 25 minutes.

This was the second meeting of the rivals. Darya took revenge on Rebecca for defeat in the 2nd round of AO-2022.

Snigur became the sixth Ukrainian woman to play in the Australian Open 2025. In addition to Daria, Marta Kostyuk, Elina Svitolina, Dayana Yastremska, Angelina Kalinina and Yulia Starodubtseva will also perform at the major.

Daria qualified for the Australian Open for the fifth time in her career. In 2021, she lost in the 1st round, in 2022 and 2023, she failed to overcome the 2nd round of selection, and in 2024, she entered the starting lineup for the first time and lost to Alisha Parks in the round of 64. In total, Snigur played 12 matches on Melbourne courts: 9 wins and 4 losses.

Snigur will perform in the main draw of the Grand Slam tournament for the fourth time in his career. Previously, Daria performed at the base of US Open 2022, Australian Open 2024 and Wimbledon-2024.
