In the 1/4 finals the polka went to the court against “neutral” Mirra Andreeva (WTA 14) and was defeated in two sets in 1 hour and 38 minutes.

It was a second meeting of rivals. Iga first gave way to Mirry.
Andreeva became the first quarterfinalist of the thousandth in the UAE. It will then play either against Sofia Kenin or against Elena Rybakina.
Swontek in the previous round was held by a Ukrainian tennis player Diana Yastremsk.
