The first finalist of the WTA Final Tournament 2025 was announced

Kazakhstani tennis player Yelena Rybakina (WTA 6) became the first finalist of the WTA 2025 Final Tournament in Riyadh.

In the semifinals, Rybakina lost in three sets with a comeback Jessica Pegul (USA, WTA 5) in 2 hours and 7 minutes.

Pegula and Rybakina held their fifth face-to-face confrontation. Yelena won her second victory over Jessica.

Rybakina will play in the WTA Finals for the first time in her career and became the first representative of Kazakhstan to achieve this.

Yelena won her fourth victory in Riyadh – at the group stage, she defeated Amanda Anisimov, Iga Sviontek and Yekaterina Aleksandrova. Rybakina will hold the 22nd final in his career at the Tour level.

In the decisive match, Yelena will fight either against Arina Sobolenko, or against Amanda Anisimova.
