Polish tennis player Magdalena Frankh (WTA 26) has made a strong start at the 2025 Australian Open.

In the 1st round, the Polish team beat the “neutral team” in two sets Polina Kudermetova (WTA 57) in 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Magdalena Frankh (Poland) [23] – Polina Kudermetova [Q] – 6:4, 6:4

This was the third meeting of the rivals. Frenkh won all 3 face-to-face matches.

Kudermetova had an unexpectedly good start to 2025, reaching the final of the WTA 500 tournament in Brisbane, making her debut in the top 100 and qualifying for a major. Fortunately, Frank knocked her out.

Another representative of the swamps, Anna Blinkova, will be Magdalena’s next opponent.
