The first racket of Ukraine Elina Svitolina won the Heart Award for her performance in the 2025 Billie Jean King Cup Finals.

The Heart Award is given to a tennis player who has represented her country with dignity, shown exceptional courage on the court and demonstrated exceptional dedication to the team during KBDC matches.

In mid-September, Svitolina played in the final tournament of the KBDC-2025 in Shenzhen as part of the Ukrainian national team. The blue and yellow team beat Spain 2:0, and Elina defeated Paula Badosa in three sets (5:7, 6:2, 7:5). In the semifinals, the Ukrainian women lost to Italy 1:2, Svitolina was unable to cope with Jasmin Paolini (6:3, 4:6, 4:6).

Svitolina won the Heart Award for the second time in 2025. In April, she became its owner based on the results of the Qualification of the unofficial World Tennis Championship.

Elina will receive $10,000, which she will send to her charity fund:

“I am honored to receive the Billie Jean King Cup Finals Heart Award. This means a lot to me, because it reflects the spirit and unity of our Ukrainian team, as well as the incredible support from all of you. Thanks to everyone who voted and supported me.

I will donate the $10,000 prize to the Elina Svitolina Foundation to help the next generation of young tennis players and continue our program that gives children hope through sport.”
