Svitolina held her fourth head-to-head match against Kalinskaya and for the first time failed to defeat the Russian.
Elina played her 13th match in 2026. She has 11 wins and two losses.
Svitolina managed to beat Dayana Yastremska at the 1000 in Qatar. Elina made her tenth appearance on the Doha courts, her best result being the semi-finals in 2019.
Next week, Svitolina will compete in the same category in Dubai, UAE.
Kalinskaya will face Karolina Mukhova in the Doha quarterfinals, who beat Karolina Pliskova in her third-round match.
