Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina lost to the world number one racket Arina Sobolenko. He will play against Sobolenko in the final Yelena Rybakina from Kazakhstan, who defeated Jessica Pegula.
Sobolenko will hold his eighth Grand Slam final and fourth (in a row) in Melbourne. Last year, she lost to Madison Keys in the AO decider.

For Rybakina, this will be the third final at the slams, including the second in Australia. Elena has the 2022 Wimbledon trophy and a defeat in the Aus Open 2023 final.
This will be the 15th face-to-face confrontation between Sobolenko and Rybakina. The score is 8:6 in favor of Arina. At the Grand Slam, Rybakina lost to Sobolenko twice – in the 1/8 finals of Wimbledon-2021 and the finals of Aus Open 2023.
The final between Sobolenko and Rybakina will be the first Grand Slam final in which both tennis players have not lost a set during the tournament since Wimbledon 2008 (Williams sisters Serena and Venus).
