Svitolina lost an exhibition match in France to the 88th ranked player in the world

The first racket of Ukraine Elina Svitolina (WTA 14) lost a match at an exhibition team tournament in Bourges-de-Paige, France.

On December 14, the Ukrainian gave in Yeleni-Gabriele Ruse (Romania, WTA 88) in three sets with a score of 6:1, 4:6, 1:6.

Svitolina played for France, and Ruse played for Svit. Yelena-Gabriela brought her team three points and now “Svit” is ahead – 6:5.

In the last match of the tournament, Gael Monfils (France) and Raphael Collignon (Belgium) will play each other.

Elina is preparing for the new season. From December 17 to 21 in Bengaluru (India), the Ukrainian will play for the Hawks at the exhibition tournament of the World Tennis League.

Svitolina will hold her first tournament of 2026 on the Oakland courts from January 5 to 11.
