Starodubtseva with the 1st seed reached the 1/4 finals of the tournament in Playford

Ukrainian tennis player Julia Starodubtseva (WTA 116) will play in the quarterfinals of the ITF W75 hard tournament in Playford, Australia.

In the second round, the Ukrainian, seeded at number one, lost Sarah Rokuszek (Australia, WTA 817) in 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Starodubtseva started in Playford with a victory over Valentina Ivanova. Her next opponent will be sixth seed Tyla Preston (Australia, WTA 209).

Previously, Yulia played against Tyla only once – in 2024, Starodubtseva lost to Preston in the quarterfinals of the WTA 125 competition in Puerto Vallarta.

In addition to Yulia, Katarina Zavatska (WTA 347) also played among Ukrainian women in Playford. Katarina ended her performance at the Australian 75,000 in the second round, losing to Talia Gibson (Australia, WTA 124).
