Ukrainian tennis player Julia Starodubtseva (WTA 112) has reached the main draw of the WTA 250 hardcourt tournament in Jiujiang, China.
In the first round, the Ukrainian will play against the representative of China Zheng Wushuang (WTA 304), which received a wild card. Starodubtseva had never played with Zheng before.

The competition in Jiujiang will be held from October 27 to November 2. The reigning champion is Victoria Golubych (Switzerland, WTA 55), who came to defend the trophy and is seeded second. The first racket of the tournament is Ann Lee (USA, WTA 44).
Starodubtseva’s last tournament was the 500 in Tokyo, where she lost to Eva Lys in the first round of qualification.
